A growth mindset picture book that helps children see mistakes as opportunities, building confidence, resilience, and perseverance.
Description
The School of Failure is a charming fractured fairy-tale that turns classic storytelling on its head, showing young readers that mistakes are not the end of the story—they’re the beginning of success.
Through Rosie J. Pova’s witty, empowering text and Monika Filipina’s expressive, whimsical illustrations, this delightful picture book follows three unlikely heroes—Wolfred, Zinderella, and the Non-Evil Queen—on their journey to find where they truly belong. Rejected from traditional fairy tales, they enroll in the School of Failure, where they discover that perseverance, patience, and courage can transform setbacks into triumphs.
From humorous missteps to unexpected breakthroughs, each moment in The School of Failure celebrates resilience and self-discovery. As the trio learns to embrace their imperfections, they begin to write their own stories—proving that success doesn’t come from getting everything right, but from never giving up.
Every page encourages children to take risks, learn from mistakes, and build confidence. With its playful take on familiar fairy-tale tropes, this story promotes a growth mindset while reinforcing social-emotional learning (SEL), problem-solving, and perseverance.
Perfect for classrooms, homeschool, or storytime, this engaging picture book is a valuable resource for parents, educators, and librarians. It’s an excellent choice for readers who enjoy The Book of Mistakes, The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, and What Do You Do With a Chance?.
