Refund & Returns Policy
At Picnic Heist, we want you to love every book you receive. If something isn’t right, we’ll do our best to make it right.
Returns
- You may return most new, unused books within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange.
- To be eligible for a return, books must be in their original condition (unread, undamaged, free from markings).
- To start a return, please email us a hello@picnicheistpublishing.com with your order number and the reason for return.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll issue a refund to your original payment method.
- Please allow 5–7 business days for the refund to appear in your account.
- Shipping costs are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong book, damaged item).
- If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Exchanges
- If you received a damaged or defective book, we’ll replace it at no additional cost.
- If you’d prefer a different title, you may exchange your order by returning the original item (shipping costs may apply).If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Non-Returnable Items
- Gift cards and digital downloads are final sale and cannot be returned.
- Books purchased through third-party retailers (Amazon, bookstores, etc.) must be returned to those retailers directly.
Shipping returns
- You’ll be responsible for return shipping costs, unless the return is due to our error.
- For your protection, we recommend using a trackable shipping method when sending items back.
- To return your product, you should mail your product to: 8401 Mayland Dr, Ste V, Richmond, VA 23294.
