A candid and empowering guide for new mothers seeking more time, energy, money, and space—Expecting It All blends personal stories with practical strategies to help moms thrive without losing themselves.
Description
Motherhood changes everything. But in the midst of caring for a newborn, many new moms struggle to find more time and energy for themselves. In Expecting It All: More Time, Money, Energy and Space for Mothers, Janet Bruins offers support and systems to help mothers not only survive—but thrive.
Motherhood is a profound transformation—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Yet, once the baby arrives, society’s focus shifts almost entirely to the child, often leaving mothers to navigate the seismic shift in their lives alone. Expecting It All reclaims that narrative, offering new mothers the insight, support, and space they need to thrive.
With warmth, clarity, and honesty, Janet Bruins offers a refreshing take on modern motherhood—one that encourages women to nurture themselves, pursue their ambitions, and challenge outdated expectations. This book blends candid memoir, systems thinking, and practical advice to help women redesign their daily lives for more energy, time, money, and personal growth.
From organizing your home and calendar to redefining your sense of identity, Expecting It All walks alongside mothers in early parenthood—especially those who want more than survival. It’s a roadmap to reimagining what motherhood can look like when we stop asking women to do everything and instead empower them to do what matters most.
