About the Author and Illustrator
Donna B. McKinney has written 17 nonfiction books for children on science, technology, history, and sports. She formerly worked at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, writing about topics such as oceanography, chemistry, and robotics. Donna holds a B.A. from Campbell University and an M.A. in English from George Mason University. She lives in North Carolina.
Daniella Ferretti is a Chilean illustrator with a background in graphic design and creative illustration. Her work, inspired by nature and daily life, has been recognized by the Ibero-American Illustration Catalog. She studied in Valparaíso and Barcelona and now brings her unique visual storytelling to children’s books around the world.
